Tucson - Washington State senior guard Faisal Aden will not play against Arizona State because of a knee injury he suffered in the first half of the Cougars 85-61 loss at Arizona Thursday night.
Aden was hurt trying to split two defenders and he fell to the ground grabbing his left knee. It's been diagnosed as a sprained MCL. The schools athletic department tells KXLY that Aden will by reevaluated when the team returns to Pullman after Saturday's game against the Sun Devils.
Losing Aden is a big blow to the Cougars offense. The Senior guard is the teams second leading scorer and was coming off a two game stretch against Stanford and Cal in which he averaged 28.5 ppg and was named Pac-12 Player of the Week.
