YAKIMA -- The Spokane Indians struck first in their best of three playoff series against Yakima, winning game one 5-1 on Monday night.
The Tribe scored the first run of the game when Michael Olt grounded out to third, allowing Ryan Strausborger to score. Yakima tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a sacrifice fly by former Washington State Cougar Michael Webber. The Indians scored the final four runs of the game, three of which came in the seventh inning on a bases loaded single by Andrew Clark.
The series now shifts to Avista Stadium in Spokane for game two Tuesday night, and game three on Wednesday if necessary. First pitch for both set for 6:35pm.
