BOISE - The Spokane Indians' bats fell silent Thursday, managing just five hits in a 1-0 shutout loss to the Boise Hawks.
Randol Rojas was the tough luck loser. He scattered eight hits and allowed just the one earned run in six innings of work.
Brent Ebinger was outstanding for the Hawks, striking out eight and surrendering just two hits over five scoreless innings.
Spokane (19-16) will start a three-game series at Tri-City Friday night.
