Eagles Look to Slow Wolf Pack's Attack

CHENEY - The Eastern Washington Eagles will have their hands full when they open the season at Nevada on Thursday night.

Employing "The Pistol" offense, the Wolf Pack had three players finish with over 1,000 yards rushing in 2009.  And two of those three, running back Vai Taua and quarterback Colin Kaepernick, are back.

So it's no secret what Nevada wants to do on offense.

"I mean, they're amazing running the ball.  As good as anyone in the country.  So that's going to be a challenge for us," said Eagles head coach Beau Baldwin.  "We're going to have to get them in, put them in a spot where we try to force them into throwing situations."

EWU will be looking to upset a Football Bowl Subdivision team for the first time in recent memory, after coming up just short at Colorado in 2008.
