PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) -- Julie Futch scored 13 points, all in the second half, as Oregon State ended a 17-game losing streak by beating Washington State 50-45 on Sunday.

Katie Madison had 13 points and 11 rebounds for Washington State (8-21, 3-15), and April Cook added 13 points for the Cougars.

With 10 seconds remaining, Cook hit a 3-point shot to bring the Cougars to within 48-45, but that was as close as they got.

Oregon State trailed 24-19 at halftime, but used a 22-8 run to take a 41-32 lead with just under 8 minutes to play.

Both teams shot poorly from the field. Oregon State shot only 16.7 percent in the first half, and finished at 31.5 percent. Washington State shot 25.5 percent from the field for the game, converting 14-of-55.

Freshman center Carly Noyes recorded two blocks against the Beavers, becoming WSU's all-time single season record holder with 56. The Moses Lake, Wash., native passed Holly Zapel (55), who had held the record since 1984-85.
