Late run gets Reardan past Liberty Bell

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Kelsey Moos scored 17 points, and Reardan used a late surge to beat Liberty Bell 47-46 for fourth-place in the Class 2B girls state tournament Saturday.

Reardan (20-4) trailed 43-40 with 2:44 left but finished the game on a 7-3 run, capped by two free throws by Moos with 6.9 seconds remaining.

Liberty Bell (17-7) had time to attempt a game-tying 3-pointer but settled for a layup and the final margin.

Liz Flowers had 14 points and Chantel Heath added 10 for Reardan.

Liberty Bell was led by Mariah Clements with 17 points and Bailey Bradshaw added 13.

Reardan trailed 11-9 after the first quarter but held Liberty Bell to four second quarter points and 24-15 at halftime. The Indians struggled in the third quarter, scoring eight points and Liberty Bell closed the gap to 32-30 after three.
