TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Kat Cooper scored 20 points and Mercedes Wetmore had 17 to help Auburn Riverside beat Mead 56-52 in overtime to cap a perfect season and claim the Class 4A girls basketball title on Saturday night.

Wetmore had four points in overtime for Auburn Riverside (29-0), which won its third title in four years. The game was tied at 49 at the end of regulation.

Kalee Junkermier had 19 points and Jazmine Redmon scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Mead (24-6) of Spokane. Redmon fouled out early in overtime.

Junkermier scored for Mead with 11.5 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime. The Panthers used an 8-2 run over the final 3:14 to force the extra period.

YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) -- Freeman's defense and Korina Baker was more than enough, and the Scotties won their first Class 1A girls state title with a 56-35 win over Granger on Saturday night.

Baker, the tournament's MVP, scored 12 points and grabbed four steals as the Scotties used a stingy defense that forced Granger outside much of the game.

The past three games, the Spartans' outside shooting propelled them through the winners' bracket. Saturday they made just 1 of 15 3-point shots.

MacKenzie Taylor and Megan McIntyre led all scorers with 13 points each for Freeman (26-1) and Alyssa Maine chipped in 11.

Granger (24-2) finished second for the second straight year, earning its fourth trophy in seven state trips.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) -- Kayla Johnson, the tournament MVP for the second straight year, scored 19 points as Colfax successfully defended its 2009 title by beating LaSalle 52-43 in the Class 2B girls state championship game Saturday night.

Colfax opened the game with a 14-2 run behind nine first-quarter points from Johnson. She also picked up two personal fouls. Colfax was able to hang onto its lead during the five plus minutes Johnson was on the bench.

Colfax led by as many as 18 points (34-16) in the first half and had its biggest lead of the game at 50-27 with 4:50 left in the game.

LaSalle (23-3) was led by Savannah Bonny with 17 points. The Lightning has seven trophies in nine Class 2B tournament appearances. Two of them state titles, the last coming in 2008.
