MOSCOW - One day after scoring 17 points and hitting a 75-footer to beat the first half buzzer in a win over San Jose State, Idaho men's basketball player Kashif Watson has been suspended indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the program, head coach Don Verlin announced Friday.
"Kashif's suspension is a matter that he must work through in order to be reinstated for practice and play," Verlin said. "The matter will be revisited prior to the WAC Tournament next week."
Watson, a senior guard, has started every game for the Vandals this year and is second on the team with a 10.7 scoring average. He also averages 3.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists and shoots 46.7 percent from the floor.
