"Track is one of those sports where whatever you put into it, that's what you're going to get out of it, part of it is about god given ability but there's a ot of it that's just hard work and what you are willing to put in and how dedicated you are," said Timberlake senior Ryan Sacksteder Tiger track coach brian kluss added "ryan has been a pleasure, ryan has been a very hard working, very dedicated young man who's done everything we've ever asked him to do and then some." THIS WASN'T A PERFECT SEASON FOR SACKSTEDER, HE HAD TO DEAL WITH A LOT OF ADVERSITY...BUT HE CAME OUT NEAR THE TOP FINISHING SECOND IN THE 1600 AT THE STATE TRACK MEET. "About halfway through the season i pulled a muscle in my back so i missed a few weeks there and lost my conditioning, pretty much had to start my season over," said sacksteder. "So finishing runner-up at state i was pretty happy with that." WITH THAT 2ND PLACE STATE FINISH, SACKSTEDER'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER CAME TO AN END. NOW IT'S ON TO BIGGER AND BETTER THINGS. "i think the sky is the limit for ryan basically whatever he chooses, he's an academic success without question," said Kluss "I'll be attending u of i to study computer science this fall, and i hope to gain at least my bachelor's degree and maybe a more advanced degree there in computer science," said Sacksteder. Then i hope to procure a job in that career field and just remain dedicated to our community and continue enjoying life."
