SEATTLE (AP) -- Chone Figgins is in the Seattle Mariners lineup, batting second and playing second base the day after a very public dugout scuffle after he was pulled by manager Don Wakamatsu in the middle of a game.
The Mariners closed the clubhouse for nearly 30 minutes before Saturday's game against Boston. A team meeting including coaches and players was held and Wakamatsu says issues that surfaced during Friday's scuffle were addressed.
Figgins did not speak before batting practice. When reporters approached his locker, backup first baseman Casey Kotchman snapped "he's not ready to talk about it yet."
A team spokesman said general manager Jack Zduriencik had no intention of speaking about the scuffle.
