Kong Becomes Latest to Leave Gonzaga

SPOKANE - Rising junior Bol Kong is the latest player to leave the Gonzaga men's basketball program.

Kong, who played his freshman season at Douglas College in British Columbia, before transferring to Gonzaga, is expected to return to Canada to continue his playing career.

Kong appeared in 31 games for the Zags as a sophomore, averaging 4.5 points per game and shooting 42.1 percent from three-point range.

He becomes the fourth Bulldog to leave the program this year, following G.J. Vilarino, Grant Gibbs and Andy Poling, who left mid-season.
