La Jolla, Ca. -- Spokane native Alex Prugh shot a six under 66 to finish tied for fifth at the Farmers Insurance Open on Sunday.
Prugh began the round tied for 25th following his one over 73 on Saturday. Day four was up and down at the start. After making birdie on the par four second, Prugh bogeyed the fourth, then birdied five and six before bogeying the par four seventh. From there, Prugh found his groove, he birdied nine, twelve, thirteen, and sixteen.
Prugh had a short putt for birdie on eighteen but rolled it just right of the hole. He had to settle for the six under, which put him eleven under for the tournament.
With the fifth place finish, Prugh earns $186,163.
