University High School senior Zoe Scott has plenty of experience in the GSL, which is what happens when you're a four-year varsity player.
“That was one of my goals when I was in 7th grade, I wrote it on my mirror that I wanted to make varsity as a freshman and I completed that goal by working really hard,” Scott said.
“When you're a freshman everything is so fast and so just out of control for you, she's done a great job and learned how to be a leader,” Head Coach Mark Stinson said.
With three years under her belt, Scott has grown into a leader by making sure the team is on the same page.
“She's kind of a subtle leader, she'll talk to people one-on-one, but if somebody steps out of line a little bit she'll talk to them as a group and it's positive,” Stinson said.
“I'm so excited, it's just going to be a great experience, I'm just so excited to play with the girls that I met and the coaches,” Scott said.
Scott will head to Masters College next year where she will continue her playing career.
