The Chiefs tied it up at time expired in themiddle frame when Kyle Beachs stick was the last one to touch a wrap around attempt by Jared Spurgeon.  While Spokane was skating on the power play and with time expiring, Spurgeon picked up the loose puck and carried it around the back of the net.  With his attempt going parallel to the goal line, Beach tipped it in for his league leading 47th of the season.

The Silvertips Scott MacDonald scored the game winner at 6:16 of the third on a shot from the slot.

Spokane pulled goaltender James Reid, who stopped 25 shots on the night, late in the game, but the Chiefs couldnt find the equalizer.  Spokane was 1-3 on the power play and 3-3 on the penalty kill.

The Chiefs will host the Prince George Cougars on Friday.  The game will begin at 7:30 after a pre-game ceremony recognizes the Top 25 Chiefs in 25 Years.
