PULLMAN - Washington State University safety Jamal Atofau was cited for fourth degree misdemeanor assault by Pullman Police early Saturday morning, for his alleged involvement in a College Hill fight.

Witnesses identified Atofau as the main instigator in the fight, which involved about a half dozen males

WSU head coach Paul Wulff and his staff are aware of the situation.  They plan to gather all the information, before taking appropriate action.

The 20-year-old Atofau redshirted as a freshman this past season.  He is a Bellevue High School graduate and the nephew of Cougar legend Jack Thompson.
