PULLMAN - Washington State University head football coach Paul Wulff announced
that Xavier Cooper, a defensive end from Wilson High School in Tacoma, has signed a
national letter of intent and plans to enroll at WSU this fall. That
brings to 24 the number of student-athletes Wulff has signed for the
2010 class.
Cooper, who's listed at 6'4" and 265 lbs, posted 85 tackles, including 11
sacks for the Rams as a senior. He garnered All-Narrows League First Team honors as well as being an all-city first team selection. Cooper was also a Seattle Times White Chip pick.
"Xavier will bring a level of athleticism to our defensive line," said Wulff. "He has
a great deal of potential and as he develops in the weight room, he is
going to help us on the defensive line."
