Chiefs Snap Everett's 14-Game Winning Streak

SPOKANE - Tyler Johnson had a goal and an assist, as the Spokane Chiefs held the Everett Silvertips to 10 shots in the final two periods en route to a 2-1 win on Wednesday night in the Spokane Arena.

The win was the first in five tries for the Chiefs over Everett and snapped the Silvertips' 14-game winning streak.

Johnson scored on a two-on-one from Levko Koper at 6:59 of the first period to stake the Chiefs to a 1-0 lead.  Blake Gal also assisted.

The Silvertips lone goal came at 12:50 of the first when Kellan Tochkin roofed it past James Reid on a pass from below the goal line from Scott MacDonald.

Kyle Beach scored the eventual game winner, his 35th of the year and sixth in the last four games, at 10:37 from Johnson and Jared Cowen on the power play.

The Chiefs will host Kamloops on Friday night.
