BOISE - Tim Stanford threw five scoreless innings and Alejandro Selen highlighted a three-run second inning with a two-run triple to lead the Spokane Indians to a 5-3 win over the Boise Hawks Tuesday.
Stanford, a 21-year-old right-hander from Australia, scattered seven hits and struck out four to improve to 5-0 on the season.
Selen finished 2-for-3 at the plate. Michael Olt connected on his eight home run for the Indians (19-14).
Spokane and Boise will continue their three-game series Wednesday.
