SPOKANE -- In a back and forth game, it came down to a missed tag by Boise second baseman Pierre LePage that gave the Spokane Indians the 5-4 victory over the Hawks Sunday night at Avista Stadium. Boise started the game off with a lead-off home run from designated hitter Alvaro Ramirez, giving the Hawks a 1-0 lead. The Indians tied it up in the second inning, when shortstop Jurickson Profar doubled in designated hitter Josh Richmond. The Indians took a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning when third baseman Michael Olt scored on second baseman Santiago Chirino's single to left. Profar hit a home run to right giving the Indians a 3-1 advantage after the sixth. Boise tied the game at 3-3 in the seventh inning off a two run double by third baseman Dustin Harrington. They went up 4-3 the next inning as shortstop Elliot Soto scored on a single by first baseman Richard Jones. The Indians drew two consecutive walks and a single by Richmond loaded the bases in the eighth inning. Olt failed to score on a fielder's choice by Profar. After a Boise pitching change, Chirino hit a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring Clark. Richmond moved to third, and watched as the Hawks trapped Profar in a run-down between first and second base. LePage missed the tag on a ducking Profar, allowing Richmond to score the go ahead run. Indians starting pitcher Nicholas McBride pitched well, going six innings, giving up one run on three hits. Relief pitcher Ryan Rodebaugh picked up his fourth victory of the season going 1.1 innings. Colby Killian threw a scoreless ninth inning, giving him a team high six saves on the season.
