Cougar women beat Weber State at Nike Invitational

PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington State Cougars volleyball team defeated Weber State 22-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-13, Saturday morning in the third match of the Nike Cougar Invitational tournament in Bohler Gym.

Meagan Ganzer led the Washington State (2-0) with 22 kills and hit .341 for the match. Freshman Sara Biondi had 42 assists and Oceana Bush had 19 digs. WSU hit .339 as a team.

Weber State (0-2) was led the seven kills from Bethany Wray, Carissa Noble, and Elli Graff, who also contributed four blocks. Nina Blake had 17 digs and Kim Lissinna had 22 assists. The Wildcats hit .120 in the match.

The Cougars struggled in the opening set with five service errors but rallied to play strongly the rest of the match, hitting .586 in the third set.
