SPOKANE -- With an outstanding academic and athletic record there is very little Reardan High School freshman Aly Peone cannot do.
Aly Peone is the high school volleyball team's only senior on the team and is looked up to by his teammates.
His sister Mandy, a former setter for the Indians, and the rest of Aly's family gives her all the support she needs.
"I learned so much from my sister, she was also an all-league and all-state player and she was the best setter in the state," said Aly.
Aly's dad coaches the Reardan Girls Basketball team and her mother coaches her volleyball team.
"She's really having an outstanding year," said Aly's mom Monica. "Academically, athletically, whatever happens at the end of the season, she knows that she did her best and she can be proud of that."
Aly's senior year started off with a scare when she hit a cow while driving to school one day. She has been working to recover from neck and shoulder injuries with medicine and physical therapy ever since.
"It was really scary, and I think I was more in shock than anything," said Aly. "I cried a lot because I thought my season was over, and it was really scary, the scariest time I've ever had.
The accident may have slowed her down, but Aly proves she is unstoppable.
