Sounds like the Idaho Vandals won’t find a lot of believers outside of Moscow this season. “Akey’s Army” was picked to finish last in the Western Athletic Conference’s preseason coaches’ poll and next-to-last in the media poll. Boise State was picked to finish first in both. You can see the preseason polls right here.
I personally believe the Vandals have a chance to surprise some people this season. I’m not saying they’re going to be in a bowl game, but I definitely don’t think they’ll finish last in the WAC.
Quarterback Nate Enderle and running back Deonte Jackson are entering their junior seasons, after starting the last two years. Safety Shiloh Keo returns, after last year’s injury. If they can win their season opener at New Mexico State on September 5th, they could build some momentum for a successful season.
